The Hawaiian sesame chicken on the other hand was sub par to say the least. ![]() The soup dumplings are OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS. This go around we ordered a family style plate of Hawaiian sesame chicken with a side of steamed rice and 1 order of soup dumplings. On her previous visit she had only gotten 2 orders dumplings. It was my gfs birthday, she had been to Lins before and described it as some of the best food she had ever had. Going into Lins Asian Bar I had high expectations. ![]() The taste of the dan-dan noodles, coated in their spicy peanut sauce, was so rich it bordered on indescribable.Please, if you are visiting, if youre a local, if you are just passing through: stop for a lunch or dinner at Lins. The shu mai was both filling and at the same time light to the stomach. By far, Lins is the best Ive had ever, in my life. somewhere else.The brunch cocktails were also amazing, and a light but tart warm-up for the on-coming deluge of dim sum rounds that came next.Now, Ive had dim sum all over the West Coast, from Seattle down to San Diego. Lins is exceptional in both aspects.Start with the decor and ambiance set throughout the restaurant - from the terracotta warrior-guarded queue into the upside-down, umbrella-laden patio - everything exudes a kind-of Shangri-La quality that takes you out of Austin and into. First, I want to preface this review by saying I hardly ever review a spot after only one dining experience, and I hardly ever (ever, ever) give out legitimate 5-star reviews.
